Single Adults
Single Adult Ministry begins with our great Bible study groups which meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. We have several departments for single adults of all ages:
The G.A.P. (Graduates and Professionals) A class for single and married young adults up to age 30 who are recent college graduates or are starting their professional careers. This class meets in Room 169 and is led by young professionals, Adam and Jordan Lewis.
Get R.E.A.L. (Reaching, Encouraging and Loving) This class is for young single adults, 25 and above. If you’re single and have been touched by a tough life experience, find encouragement and help to see all the new possibilities God has for you! Paula Williams leads this new class, meeting in Fellowship Hall B.
Singles, Too…Single adults are a vital part of the church family at South Main. This Bible study group for Single Adults 40 and up is led by Vickie Elizardo. The group meets in Fellowship Hall C.
Singles III…(Inviting, Investing, and Illuminating)…this group welcomes all Single Adults, and especially those over the age of 60. Debbie Palmatary and David Rogers lead this loving and growing group which meets in Fellowship Hall F. This group gathers weekly for Sunday lunch and Friday dinners.
The Garden (Growing Senior Singles)…life just keeps providing growing opportunities, even in your senior years! Come get involved and see how God can use you by joining this fun-loving and serving group. Peggy Allison and Susan Williams lead this department that means in Fellowship Hall E.
Monthly All-Singles fellowships, third Sunday covered dish lunch, a yearly excursion, and an annual Singles Christmas Party are just part of the fun opportunities in which you can participate. Single adults provide leadership in all ministries of the church and are a vital part of the family at South Main.
Divorce Care is a support group for those who are hurting from the experience of a divorce. Our church hosts this class in the fall and spring, usually on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Childcare and dinner are provided free of charge for all participants. The class meets in the Martin Room.

We also offer DC4K (Divorce Care for Children) at the same time. Children are often confused when their parents separate. DC4K helps the children through their hurt and confusion. For more information, contact the Singles Ministry office.
