Children
Get Connected...
Children are important at South Main!! We believe that children are always learning and seek to find creative and appropriate ways to teach them that God loves them. From birth through sixth grade we can’t wait to show kids what God has in store for their lives! Come and join us…
Students
The South Main Student Ministry exists to lead students and their families to realize the joy of a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and to help them understand what it means to walk with Him on a daily basis. We have an awesome group of adults and student leaders who are committed to living a life fully devoted to Jesus. Our Student Ministry is comprised of students from the 7th-12th grades.
Our weekly meeting include Sunday Morning Youth Bible Study at 9:30 AM and a time of student worship called Intersection from 6:30-8:00pm in the summer and 7:00-8:00pm in the school year. We also have discipleship and mentoring classes that meet on Sunday evenings at 5:30pm. In addition to these weekly programs, we have special events throughout the year such as weekend retreats, camp, mission trips, disciple now, wildweek and many other activities for your age group.
Adults
Get Connected...
While people want and like a friendly church, we’ve discovered that what people REALLY want long term is “friends AT church!” That’s why we have small group Bible study classes for adults on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 a.m. In these small groups, you have the opportunity to make friends with other people with similar interests or near your age. Our Bible study departments are all led and facilitated by volunteers who are on the same spiritual journey with you. You’ll make friends, have opportunities to serve and minister to others, and also to be served or ministered to in your time of need. For information on these small groups, contact the education ministry office at kpressly@southmain.org or bradw@southmain.org
Music
We trust that musical worship will connect people to Christ here at South Main. Whether the worship is traditional or contemporary we pray it will be authentic; for worship is the rehearsal for life. Worship provides us the opportunity to practice on Sundays what we will do and say on Monday and the rest of the week. All music ministries at south main keep that goal in mind; practicing in the church what we are called to live in life. Music allows us the opportunity to complete this task of being all we can be for the cause of Christ. If the moments of our day to day life were recorded as musical notes, what kind of music would that be. We believe time spent in music ministries will not only help us sing a beautiful song but be a beautiful song. Come sing with us!
