PHILOSOPHY |
Our preschool program is a ministry of South Main Baptist church. We feel that by ministering to preschoolers we can also minister to their families.
Our desire is to provide a safe and happy place for the children. We want them to feel loved and also to feel the love of God.
We have a well-planned curriculum in which developmentally appropriate activities are planned for each age group.
Included in our curriculum for our preschoolers will be a variety of activities to help them begin to learn colors, alphabet letters, pre-math concepts, shapes, computer skills, music and chapel. The classrooms will be set in learning centers so children have the freedom to make their own decisions and progress at their own rate.
Each month's learning and activities will be designed around a theme. Special events and special guests will be included as we explore the theme each month. A newsletter and calendar will go home each month.

INFORMATION |
The teachers of South Main Baptist are dedicated to help each child experience God's love for him through loving relationships and happy times at church.
The Learning Center will have special events such as: police cars, dentists, etc. Age appropriate children will participate in music class, computer, and Chapel. There will be Bible stories, music, a letter box, names, shapes, colors, seasonal crafts, parties and games. |
NECESSITIES |
- Lunch of finger foods and a drink (no glass containers or items that need to be microwaved or refrigerated).
- Resting mat for children in 2 year & under classes except bed babies.
- Complete change of clothes (labeled).
- Disposable diapers only.
- For
infants, food & feeding instructions, plastic
bottles only.
- PLEASE, everything must be LABELED...(LABEL WITH FIRST NAME AND LAST INITIAL no tape please) diaper bag, bottles, pacifiers, sip-it cups, mats, change of clothes, coats, etc.
- No child is to bring any food into their classroom other than lunches, i.e. finishing breakfast.

HEALTH INFORMATION |
All children must have current and up-to-date immunizations. Please provide us a copy of the immunization records for our files. You will be called if your child becomes ill while attending preschool.
Preschool teachers will not administer medication. These items are not allowed in your child's diaper bag or backpack (this includes all
over-the-counter medicines). |
