David Scott, our Student Minister, came to South Main in December of 1989. David grew up in Waco, Texas, and was saved at the age of thirteen. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and holds a Master of Arts in Religious Education degree from Southwestern Seminary.

In addition to his responsibilities at South Main, David volunteers as a Project Coordinator for World Changers and serves as a Committee Chairman for the Texas Baptist Youth Ministry Conclave. He has written many articles for the Baptist publishing house, Lifeway, including a youth ministry book entitled, Good News for Youth: The Power to Change Lives.
