Dr. Williamson began serving South Main as Minister of Education in June of 1997. He came to us from the University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas, where he had served for the past nine years. Dr. Williamson grew up in Wichita, Kansas, where he was saved at the age of nine and called to ministry at the age of fourteen.
Dr. Williamson has a degree in church music from Oklahoma Baptist University. He met his wife, Ruby, while attending OBU and they were married in 1983. Dr. Williamson holds the Master of Arts in Religious Education and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Southwestern Seminary. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his children, recreational sports, and fishing. He also serves as an adjunct instructor for the Baptist Learning Center in Corpus Christi, TX.
